RATIFIED follows the final push to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment in Virginia, where organizers, led largely by Black women, built a broad, multi-racial and multi-generational coalition to confront decades of political resistance. Through legislative battles, grassroots organizing, and intimate personal stories, the film captures a historic effort to enshrine gender equality in the U.S. Constitution nearly one hundred years after the amendment was first introduced.
