SONS OF DETROIT
EDITOR

In this genre-bending detective documentary feature, a white filmmaker, taken in and raised as one of the cousins in a black family returns home to Detroit for the first time in 20 years.

Confronting the destruction his city and family experienced in his absence, he searches out his cousin Boo, who has just returned from 20 years in prison. Together, they unravel tangled threads of race, violence, history, and the meaning of family.
