THE LAKE
ADDITIONAL EDITOR

An environmental nuclear bomb looms in Utah. Two intrepid scientists and a political insider race the clock to save their home from an unprecedented catastrophe. Local Utah filmmaker Abby Ellis intertwines the inextricable fates of the Great Salt Lake, a failing saline body of water, and the millions of people who live, work, and travel around it in away that is both terrifying and motivating, wrought with divinity and doom.  THE LAKE looks at the interdependency of science and faith, and the power of individuals and communities to avert disaster by working together. It received a Sundance Institute Sandbox Fund grant during its production phase when its working title was The Terminal.
